FluroSat CEO, Dr Anastasia Volkova Named Among “World’s Top 35 Innovators Under 35”

"In chaotic times it can be reassuring to see so many people working toward a better world." At FluroSat, we see it as our mission to be a force for good.

Huge congratulations to our CEO and founder Anastasia Volkova on being named one of this year’s Innovators Under 35!

This morning MIT has released this year's list of "35 brilliant young entrepreneurs, inventors, visionaries, humanitarians and pioneers who are working to make the world a better place". And we can't be more excited to share with you that our CEO and founder, Dr Anastasia Volkova has been named one of this year's innovators!

Each year since 1999, MIT Technology Review (MIT TR) has selected exceptionally talented young innovators whose work we believe has the greatest potential to transform the world. Previous winners include Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the cofounders of Google; John Rogers, a materials scientist at the University of Illinois; Jonathan Ive, the chief designer of Apple; Helen Greiner, the cofounder of iRobot; and Max Levchin, the cofounder of PayPal.

MIT TR has been presenting their list of innovators under 35 for the past 20 years to highlight the things young innovators are working on, to show at least some of the possible directions that technology will take in the coming decade. This contest generates more than 500 nominations each year. The editors then face the task of picking 100 semifinalists to put in front of our 25 judges, who have expertise in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, software, energy, materials, and so on. With the invaluable help of these rankings, the editors pick the final list of 35.

The MIT Technology Review acknowledged Anastasia's work on building FluroSat as a company that seeks to solve food and fibre production issues and combat the effects of climate change on these industries and more importantly, the company that sets the direction of the technology development more broadly and above all, seeks to help people. In MIT's editors' words, "In chaotic times it can be reassuring to see so many people working toward a better world." At FluroSat, we see it as our mission to be a force for good and do our best to use the technology to drive positive impact.
