Netafim integrates FluroSense analytics into Netbeat™

Anastasia Volkova, PhD
Chief Executive Officer

Tel-Aviv, March 10, 2020 - Netafim, the global leader in precision irrigation, and FluroSat, a leading company in remote field sensing and analytics, have announced their collaboration on integrating FluroSat's data into Netafim’s automated irrigation and fertigation cloud-based platform, NetBeat™. FluroSat's unique remote sensing and plant metrics combined with Netafim’s NetBeat™ platform to enable easier, more precise, and more reliable irrigation, fertigation and crop management decisions.

As a result of this collaboration, Netafim's customers (andparticularly NetBeatTM owners) get access to advanced cropmonitoring tools as a standalone monitoring and analysis service or directlyintegrated into Netafim's NetBeatTM. This results in site-specificirrigation recommendations with near-real-time adjustment of irrigation andfertigation quantities based on the current crop condition assessed by FluroSense.

FluroSenseTM agronomic analytics engine provides dataabout the performance and the status of the crops, reporting biomass levels, canopy cover, growth stage, and crop development trends for every field orblock on a farm. In addition to crop performance, FluroSenseTM also enablesdetection of crop stress stemming from nutrient deficiency, pest, disease orirrigation system issues such as leaks and sends out corresponding alerts.

We designed NetbeatTM to be an open platform since we believe that joint innovation is the way of the future. We have examined dozens of new technologies with the aim of incorporating the best into the NetbeatTM platform. After comprehensive testing we concluded that FluroSat brings unique capabilities that will result in high value for farmers.

said Guy Leventon, VP Digital Farming at Netafim

Following the successful pilot across a range of crops inNetafim key regions (North America, South America, Australia), FluroSenseanalytics is being rolled out across the Netafim network and is available toall dealers and customers of Netafim.

Our agronomic analytics engine FluroSenseTM was designed to be a “translation layer” that transforms all data available about the crops into conclusive insights for the person or the machine making crop management decisions. FluroSenseTM is heavily automated and was designed to work without human in the loop.
We are very excited to partner with Netafim to demonstrate what this “no touch” approach can mean for global agriculture in terms of timely precise crop management and irrigation in particular.

Anastasia Volkova, PhD, CEO and Founder of FluroSat.

Now Netafim customers will soon have access (directly or through their local Netafim agronomist/dealer) to FluroSense analytics via direct integration, which allows for farm boundaries and crop information to be exchanged and for automated crop monitoring to be activated. The immediate benefits to Netafim customers include weekly Crop Performance Summary Reports and regular Crop Stress Alert Emails. The two companies will continue their collaboration in developing analytics products.
